Message from the President

Niccol Gordon

Welcome to the Queens Black Chamber Member and Friends,

As President, I want to personally thank you for visiting. Whether you’re a business owner, community leader, or supporter, your interest in QBCC means you care about creating lasting opportunities for Black-owned businesses and strengthening our borough.

Queens is where I was born, raised, and built my life. It’s where my businesses grew and where my faith and community values were shaped. I know firsthand both the challenges and the incredible potential our community holds. That’s why QBCC exists — to stand in that gap and create real pathways for Black entrepreneurs to not just survive, but truly thrive.

We are here because too often, Black-owned businesses face barriers that limit growth: from lack of funding and visibility to exclusion from major procurement opportunities. QBCC was created to change that narrative. Through advocacy, education, resources, and strong partnerships, we champion Black business ownership as a means of building generational wealth, economic equity, and community legacy.

For us, this work isn’t just business. It’s personal. It’s about family. It’s about ensuring that future generations in Queens — from South Jamaica to Northside and beyond — have access to real opportunities. When Black businesses grow, families grow. Neighborhoods strengthen. Entire communities rise together.

Our vision for the future is bold and clear:

  • A thriving, inclusive business ecosystem where Black entrepreneurs have equal access to capital, customers, contracts, and community support.

  • A Queens where Black-owned businesses are not the exception but the foundation of local economic growth.

  • A chamber that not only uplifts its members but helps shape policies, partnerships, and programs that create lasting change.

I invite you to be part of that vision. Join us as a member, partner, or sponsor. Donate to support our initiatives. Partner with us to bring resources to the businesses and communities that need them most. And most importantly: support Black-owned businesses, organizations, and initiatives across Queens.

Thank you for believing in this mission. I look forward to connecting with you, supporting your journey, and building a stronger Queens — together.

With respect and purpose,

Dr. Niccol Gordon
