About QBCC

Who We Are

The Queens Black Chamber of Commerce (QBCC) is a dynamic community of Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and international professionals committed to economic empowerment, equity, and excellence. We were founded to create a platform where Black-owned businesses are supported, amplified, and sustained -  right here in the borough we call home.

Our Mission

To champion Black economic advancement in Queens through advocacy, education, connection, and opportunity — ensuring Black-owned businesses are seen, supported, and sustained across all sectors.

What We Do

  • Host networking mixers and business expos

We connect business owners, investors, and community leaders to foster collaboration and opportunity.

  • Provide workshops, mentorship, and grant support

From startup to scale-up, we help our members grow with tools, training, and access to funding.

  • Connect members with trusted resources

We maintain a vetted directory of CPAs, attorneys, marketing experts, and service providers to support business needs at every stage.

  • Organize Support Mobs

When a member’s business is struggling or launching, we mobilize the community to show up and buy out shelves, book services, and spread the word — because collective economics is real.

  • Advocate for inclusive policies and procurement access

We push for equity in government and corporate contracting, funding, and business development opportunities.

  • Promote member businesses

Through social media campaigns, newsletters, vendor spotlights, and community partnerships, we keep our members visible and supported.

What We Stand For

We stand for more than business.

We stand for legacy. For pride of ownership. For community wealth.

We believe that when Black businesses thrive, so do families, neighborhoods, and futures.

Our Vision

To cultivate a thriving, inclusive business ecosystem where Black entrepreneurs have equal access to capital, customers, contracts, and community.

We envision a Queens where Black-owned businesses aren’t just surviving — they’re leading, innovating, and shaping the local and global economy. Our vision includes creating pathways for youth entrepreneurship, strengthening partnerships with major corporations, and influencing policy that supports equitable business growth.

By building bridges between businesses, community leaders, and government, we aim to establish Queens as a national model for inclusive economic development — where legacy-building and generational wealth are within reach for all.

Why It Matters

Despite making up a significant portion of the local population, Black-owned businesses often face systemic barriers to growth. From limited access to capital and contracting opportunities to exclusion from key networks, these challenges impact not just individual business owners but entire communities.

The Queens Black Chamber of Commerce exists to break down those barriers. By fostering a strong, unified business community, we ensure Black entrepreneurs have a seat at the table in local economic development. We help close wealth gaps, create job opportunities, and build generational wealth across Queens and beyond.

When Black businesses thrive, neighborhoods are strengthened, families are uplifted, and the broader economy benefits. Our work is about more than commerce — it’s about equity, empowerment, and building a lasting legacy of success.
